Patience and unity were seen at the Presidential Election: HRCM

Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) has stated patience and unity were seen at the peacefully conducted presidential election held on September 23.

In a statement, HRCM noted no disruptions were seen during electoral process which defame any individual or the free and fair run of the election. HRCM also highlighted there were administrative issues which needs to be solved for the next election to avoid long queues and other such issues. Noting that nationalism was seen from all over the country, HRCM advised to always put forth nationalism in all times.

Observers of HRCM were in 15 areas to observe the Presidential Election 2018, according to HRCM.
