Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
During a press conference, the spokesperson appointed by the presidential-elect, Mariya Ahmed Didi confirmed the party has invited the Indian Prime Minister to Maldives. Indian Prime Minister Modi was one of the first world leaders who congratulated the victory of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the presidential election.
Meanwhile, Mariya revealed a senior delegation of the Saudi Arabia government has also extended congratulations to the President-Elect of Maldives, adding the opposition coalition has assured to cooperate with Saudi Arabia in conducting developmental projects in Maldives.
