PPM says it is not working to annul election results

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has refuted rumours spread saying the party is exerting efforts to annul the Presidential Election 2018.

Speaking to media regarding the rumours, Parliament Group Leader of PPM Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik assured the party is not trying to annul the election, adding PPM has requested the elections commission to announce the final results without delay. PPM is currently investigating the complaints it have received regarding the election, Nihan said.

Furthermore, Nihan said the letter sent to elections commission by PPM specifies the concerns raised by party members revealing rumours spread in the social media are false.
