President-Elect of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has thanked the military forces for assuring to maintain the choice of the people in the Presidential Election 2018.
Speaking at a press conference, spokesperson of president-elect, Mariya Ahmed Didi stated Ibrahim Mohamed Solih thanked the military forces for assuring to maintain and respect the decision of the people in the election, at a time when news have been received that certain people are working to delay the announcement of the final results.
Noting information has been received that some government officials are receiving death threats, Mariya noted the president-elect does not want any such hindrances and urged the public to refrain from any such actions.
