Elections Commission of Maldives has announced the distribution of constituencies for the 2019 Parliamentary Elections.
87 areas have been listed as constituencies which is an addition of two constituencies compared to the 2014 Parliamentary Elections, both from the greater Male' region, according to the provisional report. However, the Elections Commission has not mentioned the new constituencies in the provisional report. Elections Commission attributes additional constituencies to the change in the number of eligible voters.
Currently, 85 constituencies are represented in the parliament.
