No staff would be pressured to support the government: President-Elect

President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assured political ideology would not be considered when giving promotions.

Addressing the ceremony held at Maldives Customs Service, the president-elect noted staff of different ideologies will be working in government authorities and institutions, adding no pressure will be put on staff to support the government. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said the freedom to work to the best of their abilities will be provided to every staff despite their political ideology. Moreover, the president-elect expressed he is a president of the people and will continuously work for the benefit of the entire nation.

The meeting attended by Vice President-Elect Faisal Naseem was participated by Commissioner General of Customs Mohamed Junaid, officers and staff of Maldives Customs Service.
