Pakistan Prime Minister accepts invitation to visit Maldives

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has accepted the invitation of President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to visit Maldives. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih conveyed the invitation during a phone call made by the Pakistani Prime Minister to congratulate the president-elect on his victory in the presidential election, according to Pakistan news outlets.

The phone call between Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Imran Khan focused on enhancing bilateral ties and working together for mutual benefit. Moreover, Pakistan news outlets noted Imran Khan expressed hope to further boost the relations with Maldives during the presidency of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

While Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan accepted the invitation of President-Elect to visit Maldives on a date convenient, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Maithripala Sirisena to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
