Gasim Ibrahim calls to hold swearing-in ceremony on November 11

Leader of Jumhooree Party Gasim Ibrahim has stated the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih must take place on November 11.

While speaking at Jumhooree Party main campaign quarter, after arriving to Maldives from asylum in Germany, Gasim Ibrahim noted the swearing-in ceremony on 2013 was delayed due to an un-ignorable situation. In this regard, Gasim Ibrahim noted if no special situation is in place, the swearing-in ceremony must be held in accordance with the time frame set in the constitution.

Referring to the charges of bribery raised against him, the leader of Jumhooree Party noted such acts are illegal and denied all the charges.

Many political leaders and supporters of Jumhooree Party welcomed Gasim Ibrahim upon his arrival in the capital, Male' City.
