Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has assured to accept any decision of the Supreme Court on the motion filed, by presidential candidate of PPM incumbent President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, to annul the presidential election.
Speaking to PSM News, Spokesperson of PPM Ali Arif said the case was filed at Supreme Court following numerous complaints and concerns from the public. Ali Arif stated the presidential candidate of PPM only wants to clarify the credibility of the presidential election held on September 23. He expressed confidence the case will be concluded in favour of PPM, highlighting every decision of the Supreme Court will be accepted by the party.
In the motion, the presidential candidate of PPM moved to annul the 2018 presidential election while all hearings have been concluded. However, sentencing date or time have not been revealed.
