X-ray services in Thinadhoo to resume next week

Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo has stated X-ray services will resume next week after repairing the machine.

Speaking to PSM News regarding the X-Ray service, public health officer who is currently managing the largest hospital in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Shahuza Hassan said X-ray services were interrupted as it was damaged, adding efforts are underway to bring the necessary spare parts to the island with the help of State Trading Organisation (STO).

Over 200 patients receive services from the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital every day. With the interruption of X-ray services, the medical check-up done from the hospital has also been interrupted.

The X-ray service is being resumed after two weeks of interruption.
