Ministry of Finance and Treasury has decided to take expenditure reduction measures for the remainder of the year.
In a circular, the finance ministry has advised to plan all works of government offices within the working hours without over time. In addition, the ministry noted all offices must be closed by 1430 hours except for offices functioning in duty method.
Moreover, the circular urged not to spend capital and maintenance expenses except for those approved by finance ministry and President's Office. Finance ministry further requested not to conduct any new projects except for ongoing projects under Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP).
Furthermore, it was asked not to spend on any celebrations from the state budget, other than national level days and celebrations.
