Vice President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) Ibrahim Riza has stated it is important to design work carried out by the judiciary, in a manner that enables the swift clearance of cases filed at courts of law.
The delay in processing cases at courts of law continues to be a matter of concern for the JSC, Ibrahim Riza said addressing the ceremony held at the Supreme Court to appoint Magistrates to Magistrate Courts of Maldives. Riza stressed on the importance of the swift delivery of justice and noted judges should work towards strengthening the Maldivian judiciary. He also stressed on the importance of guarding the honour of judges and reminded the strict disciplinary codes judges need to follow.
At the ceremony, 15 magistrates were appointed to Magistrate Courts established across the country. Their oaths were administered by Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi.
