Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has decided to grant flats for all applicants of newly-wed category who meet the requirements.
Speaking at a press conference, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said the number of applications received from the newly-wed category were less than expected. Minister Muizzu revealed while the interim list has been published, complaints can now be filed regarding the list. The final list will be published in a week after reviewing the complaints, added the minister.
Moreover, regarding the permanent list of the social housing project, Minister Muizzu said names in the temporary list, if not included in the permanent list would be for two reasons. In this regard, he revealed the names in the temporary list were reviewed and some were omitted as couples who separately applied got flats and one had to choose, in addition to misinformation in the applications.
