Role of MNU will enhance with implementation of fee-free higher education system: Dr. Fawaz

Vice Chancellor of Maldives National University (MNU) Dr. Ali Fawaz has stated the role and responsibility of the national university will be enhanced with the implementation of a fee-free higher education system in the country by the incoming government.

Speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the Executive Committee of MNU Student Union, Vice Chancellor Fawaz noted it is an electoral pledge of the President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to establish a fee-free higher education system in Maldives, adding the university will be further be boosted with the implementation of the pledge.

Speaking regarding the MNU Student Union, Fawaz highlighted the achievements of the union in recent years, advising to continue with such spirit in the coming days.

During the ceremony, eight members were elected to the 2019 EXCO of Student Union. MNU Student Union represents all the students of the university and plays an important role in the well-being and recreation of the students.
