Nazim to join Jumhooree Party

Former Minister of Defence and National Security Colonel (Rtd.) Mohamed Nazim has revealed he has decided to join Jumhooree Party. He announced his decision while speaking to media upon his return to Maldives after travelling to Malaysia for medical treatment.

The former defence minister returned to Maldives following the Supreme Court order to defer implementing his 11-year jail sentence. Nazim was warmly welcomed at Velana International Airport (VIA) by Speaker of Parliament and Leader of Jumhooree Party Qasim Ibrahim. In addition, Leader of Adaalath Party Imran Abdulla and some parliamentarians were at VIA to welcome him back to the country.

Nazim departed to Malaysia for medical treatment on October 5.
