Minister of Finance and Treasure Ahmed Munawar has revealed the fiscal transparency of Maldives must be further enhanced as the economy of the country is widely opened to the world. The finance minister made the remarks at the ceremony held to launch the new website of the finance ministry.
Minister Munawar expressed the importance of enhancing the fiscal transparency or publicising of information on how governments raise, spend, and manage public resources as investors from around the world eyes Maldives. The website is an important tool that can be utilised to publish such information, revealed Minister.
The new website was launched by Information Commissioner Abdul Azeez Jamaal Aboobakuru.
