The Transition Committee on Social Affairs has stated Ministry of Gender and Family was run by the current government without any proper plan.
Speaking to media, Sidhatha Shareef revealed even though there were several sections within the ministry mandated to perform various jobs; those sections were not given the opportunity to run as mandated.
Noting the ministry had formed a planning and research department, Sidhatha said the ministry was run without any plan and under instructions from political figures. She further noted the least amount from the State Budget 2018 was also allocated for the ministry.
