Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi has highlighted the importance of a modern jurisdiction in Prosecutor General's Office to ensure the success of the criminal justice system.
Speaking at a ceremony held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Prosecutor General's Office, Chief Justice Ahmed Abdulla Didi revealed the Prosecutor General plays an important role in enhancing the criminal justice system in Maldives to meet the developed jurisdictions in the world. The chief justice spoke on the importance of being free and fair when performing the mandates and working without any personal propaganda for the benefit of the society.
Meanwhile, during the ceremony, Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham noted the achievements of the institution, adding there are 8 branches of the office across Maldives, which have served and boosted the case conclusion process.
Moreover, during the ceremony, Prosecutor General's Office inaugurated its case management system, Mafini.
