Heritage Ministry recovers Kalhuvakaru Mosque

Minister of Arts, Heritage and Culture Yumna Maumoon has stated several efforts needs to be exerted before rebuilding the Kalhuvakaru Mosque removed by the former administration. The minister added parts of the mosque need to be treated before rebuilding.

The previous administration removed the mosque located in Sultan Park in October 2016, saying it will be relocated to Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. However, even after two years, the mosque was not relocated and was kept at the National Museum.
