President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has presented the letter of appointment to the members of the Commission on Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances. The members of the commission are Husnu Al-Suood, Abdulla Munaz, Adam Ibrahim, Fareesha Abdulla and Misbaah Abbas.
Following the presentation of letters, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with the members of the commission.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih reminded the commission of the massive responsibility upon them. The president assured the members, of the administration’s full support and assistance in carrying out their mandate, including facilitating the foreign expertise required in investigating the cases submitted to the commission. Furthermore, he appealed to all the members of the commission to commence their work with integrity and without discrimination.
At the meeting, members of the commission assured President Solih of their commitment to carrying out speedy work with integrity.
