Addu City Council meets 3 ministers and discusses relevant topics

Addu City Council has met with 3 cabinet ministers of government.

The city council met Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail, Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen and Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.

During the meeting held with economic minister, discussions were focused on enhancing the economy of Addu City and on ways to attain certain permits. The council proposed to introduce a weekend market, a food fair and other such ideas to enhance the economy of the city.

Moreover, during the meeting held with the health minister, the council inquired about the progress of the 100-bed tertiary hospital built at the Equatorial Convention Centre (ECC) and discussed on ways to boost the emergency response and trauma services in the city.

Meanwhile, the meeting with planning minister was focused on Addu Development Plan and Addu Land Use Plan. The discussions of the meeting also highlighted on a far-sighted development plan for Addu.
