President appoints a Special Envoy, a Minister and 4 State Ministers

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed a special envoy, a minister and 4 state ministers.

In the ceremony to present the letters of appointment, Mohamed Shifaz was appointed as Minister at the President’s Office. Previously, the president has appointed Ali Shiyam and Ahmed Naseem to the same post.

Moreover, Akram Kamaaluddin was appointed as Minister of State for National Planning and Infrastructure, Ahmed Khaleel as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Neeza Imad as Minister of State for Economic Development and Mohamed Thoriq as Minister of State for Arts, Culture and Heritage.

Furthermore, Abdulla Jabir was appointed as the Special Envoy.

The president has formed a cabinet of 20 ministers, including the Attorney General.
