Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof has assured to introduce more youth to the fisheries industry.
In a tweet posted after meeting with a local fishermen association, Minister Mahloof stated efforts will be exerted to enhance the fisheries sector and improve the involvement of youth. Supporting youth to get practically involved in the fisheries sector, Mahloof asked youth to join local fishermen association, Gemanafushi Masveringe Jamiyya, to participate in fishing activities. The association expressed readiness to work with youth ministry to enhance the fisheries sector in addition to working collectively with the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Zaha Waheed.
Gemanfushi Masveringe Jamiyya is an exemplary organization working to invoice more youth in the fisheries sector.
