President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed 5 State Ministers. The ceremony to present the letters of appointment was held at the President’s Office.
The state ministers appointed are Mohamed Iaad Hameed as Minister of State for Economic Development, Hassan Rasheed as Minister of State for Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture, Sheikh Ilyas Jamal as Minister of State for Islamic Affairs, Aishath Rasheed as Minister of State for Gender, Family and Social Services and Ahmed Mujthaba as Minister of State for Environment.
The president made the appointments under the power bestowed upon him under Article 115 of Constitution.
