Minister of Youth, Sports and Social Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof has assured the government will introduce new opportunities to youth and non-governmental organisations.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the Millennium Youth Ambassadors Coaching Camp held by Regional Alliance for Fostering Youth (RAFY) and Singapore's Edstar Global, Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof said he very well know the challenges faced by youth as he is actively involved in empowering youth in the country. In this regard, Minister Mahloof revealed the work and structure of the ministry will be reshaped with the assistance and advice of youth. Furthermore, Minister stated public platforms will be introduced for youth, assuring to enhance the youth council.
The Millennium Youth Ambassadors Coaching Camp held in Maldivian Educational and Cultural Centre of Sri Lanka from November 22-28 was participated by 28 youth. The sessions conducted focused on 10 topics including leadership, building leaders and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
RAFY was formed by a group of youth leaders from Asian countries to create a common platform where Asian youth is fostered and nurtured through leadership mentoring and engaging them in constructive dialogue to address the most pressing issues faced by them. The organisation aims to do so by exchange programmes by tapping potentials to excel in leadership.
