Health Minister committed to introduce medical tourism in islands

Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has assured to introduce medical tourism in islands where local tourism has been introduced.

Following the complaints of citizens, Health Minister Ameen revealed efforts are underway to enhance the health sector by solving the existing issues. In this regard, the minister reaffirmed his commitment to introduce medical tourism in islands where local tourism is introduced. He stated medical tourism will be introduced in a way the tourism sector is further boosted, adding locals will also have access to services similar as tourists.

Furthermore, Minister Ameen noted health services must also be environment friendly, adding the green hospital policy will be amended.
