The revenue generated by Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) in November has crossed the 63 million US dollar mark. The amount is a 5.2 percent increase, against the numbers predicted for the month.
The majority of revenue was generated from Goods and Services Tax (GST). In this regard, MIRA generated an income of 42 million US dollars as GST, which is 65.3 percent of the total revenue.
Further, 11.4 percent of the total revenue consists of various fees paid to the state. Year-on-year, the income generated by MIRA marks an increase of 5.3 percent, according to MIRA.
