President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived at Gemanafushi in Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The president visited Gemanafushi to attend the official function to mark this year's Fisherman's Day.
On arrival, President Solih was welcomed by Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture Zaha Waheed, members of the island council and officials of government offices in the island. Special activities were being carried out to welcome the president at the harbour area.
Further, the president met with the island community. During the meeting, the people of Gemanafushi shared their sentiments with the president and deliberated on the challenges being faced on their daily operations and ways to resolve these issues.
