Over USD 1.281 billion received as revenue so far this year

Ministry of Finance has revealed the state has received over USD 1.281 billion as revenue so far this year.

Until December 9, over 1.281 billion US dollars has been received by the state, with the state budget forecasting the state will receive over 1.450 billion US dollars by the end of the year, according to the recent statistics published by the finance ministry. The finance ministry further revealed of the total revenue received by the state, over USD 932 million was received as tax, with almost USD 20 million received as foreign grant aid.

The statistics also noted although over USD 1.041 billion have been spent as recurrent cost, it is over USD 1.851 million more than the amount set in the state budget. In this regard, USD 543.8 million was spent for salaries and allowances and 485.5 million US dollars was spent for the administration of the state.

Furthermore, according to the statistics, USD 543.8 million was allocated for development in 2018, with over USD 407 million spent for various development projects across the county, including the Sina-Male' Bridge, development of airports and road networks.

The administration has pledged to publish a weekly financial statement during its term in office.
