Prominent businessman and Speaker of Parliament Qasim Ibrahim reveals hosting the 45th Annual Conference of International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors Association (IFAWPCA) will bring revolutionary changes to the construction and tourism sector alike.
Addressing the ceremony held to inaugurate the 45th Annual Conference of IFAWPCA scheduled for 2020, Qasim Ibrahim stated several investors are expressing interest to invest in Maldives, adding hosting such a convention in Maldives will further open opportunities for foreign investors.
Qasim Ibrahim noted the construction sector of Maldives has positively positioned itself internationally, expressing the support of several institutions related to construction. He further appreciated the efforts of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI) and other organisations representing the Maldivian construction industry.
IFAWPCA holds a convention every twenty months, with the last edition held in Malaysia.
