MTCC contracted the harbor expansion project of Kulhudhuffushi

The government has contracted the harbour expansion project of Kulhudhuffushi to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project was handed over at a special function held at Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure.

The venture was signed by Minister of State for Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure Akram Kamaaludeen and CEO of MTCC Hassan Shah. The harbour currently in use in the island in Haa Alifu Atoll is 800-foot long and 200-foot wide.

The project is to be conducted with loan assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB), according to the planning ministry. The project conducted at a cost of USD 8.2 million should be completed in 450 days.
