Minister of Youth, Sports and Social Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof has revealed issues in 67 futsal grounds developed by the previous administration have been identified, noting over USD 3.55 million was spent to develop the turfs.
Speaking to PSM News during his recent trip to Baa Atoll, Youth Minister Mahloof said some equipment brought to the islands to develop the futsal grounds have been damaged, adding discussions have commenced with the contractors to find solutions.
During the trip to Baa Atoll, Youth Minister visited Maalhos, Eydhafushi, Dhonfanu, Dharavandhoo and Hithaadhoo and met with the citizens and inquired about their situation, especially in activities related to sports and youth.
