Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has revealed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will embark on a state visit to UAE in early January. Details of the trip will be announced in the upcoming days, according to the foreign minister.
Moreover, the minister highlighted President Solih will not make a decision that would diminish relations with any country. On the same note, he said the administration plans to enhance ties with countries such as China, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
While the president has decided to visit UAE, he recently concluded his first state visit since assuming office. He visited India from December 16-18 on an invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
