Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid along with Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer and Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail has met with the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Hiroshige Seko.
Minister Seko, warmly welcomed Minister Shahid and delegation, and exchanged views on further strengthening the economic cooperation between the Maldives and Japan. During the meeting, the foreign minister thanked Minister Seko for the generous assistance extended to the Maldives under Japan’s Economic and Social Development Programmes.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Maldives Embassy in Tokyo.
