President sends condolences to the Saudi King

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saud Arabia, following the passing away of his beloved brother Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

In the message, President Solih said it is with great sadness that he learnt of the passing away of Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia The president said Prince Talal was a statesman of the highest order who served the Saudi Kingdom in numerous capacities, and his passing will prove a profound loss to the Kingdom.

At this time of national grief, the president conveyed heartfelt condolences to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the entire Saudi Royal Family and the people of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, father of billionaire investor Al-Waleed bin Talal and a vocal supporter of reform in the ruling Al-Saud family. The 87-year-old senior member of the royal family had been ill for several years. He lived in exile abroad in the 1960s after urging a transition to constitutional monarchy, but later returned to Saudi Arabia.
