Temporary bio-metric clinic for Germany-Schengen visa to open in Male' City

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed it will host a temporary Germany-Schengen visa Biometric Clinic in Male' Coty, organised by the Embassy of Germany to the Maldives.

In a statement, the foreign ministry said the Biometric Clinic will operate from January 27 to 28, 2019 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In case of increased demand, the clinic may be extended accordingly, added the ministry. Further, according to the foreign ministry, applicants can book appointments online, until January 25, 2019.

This is the first time Schengen Visa Application Service is to be provided in the Maldives, and the ministry said it is the result of the close bilateral ties between Germany and the Maldives. The Biometric Clinic aims ease the difficulties Maldivians face while applying for visas to travel to Germany, including those participating in Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB) Fair in March.
