Fenaka Corporation Limited has decided to install an additional water plant in Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
In a statement issued regarding the interruption caused in providing water to the residents of the island, Fenaka Corporation stated the interruption in providing the services was due to a technical issue caused to the water plant used. In this regard, Fenaka Corporation revealed plans to install an additional water plant with the capacity to produce 300 tonnes of fresh water to solve the issue permanently.
A water plant capable of producing up to 150 tonnes of fresh water is currently utilised to provide water services in Thinadhoo, according to Fenaka Corporation. Moreover, the state-owned utility company revealed there will be interruptions in services at certain times until the water plant gets fixed, adding efforts to install the new water plant will begin within the coming week.
