Acting CEO of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital Dr. Mohamed Waheed has expressed confidence the hospital will be developed as one of the best hospitals in the country under the health policies of the administration.
Speaking to PSM News Dr. Mohamed Waheed highlighted the importance of developing the hospital as it not only serves the population of the island, but rather the whole region. Noting Kulhudhuffushi Hospital is the only health facility outside of the capital that conduct heart and neurosurgeries, Dr, Mohamed Waheed expressed hope the services will be enhanced in the future. He spoke highly of the health policies of the administration, revealing various projects are in discussion to enhance the services provided at the hospital.
The past administration handed over the development of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital to an Indian company, but was later withdrawn due to some issues among the shareholders.
