Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi has visited the Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre and the Training School of Fire and Rescue Service, both located in Villimale'.
During the visit, Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed assessed the situation of the institutions. She was accompanied by Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal.
Moreover, during the visit, the defence minister inquired about the scope of work of both institutions and asked about the procedures followed during a disaster. She also inquired about the challenges faced by the institutions.
Furthermore, the minister highlighted the need to enhance the trainings and exercises provided from the institutions.
