Munaz resigns from Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances

Abdulla Munaz has resigned from Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances. PSM News has learnt Munaz resigned as it has been decided to appoint him as the Commissioner of Prisons.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih established the commission by a Presidential Decree on November 17. President Solih established the commission, on his first day in office, in an effort to carry out the responsibilities of the state in ensuring justice for all, by conducting independent investigations for unresolved cases.

The presidential commission now comprises of Husnu Al Suood, as President of the Commission, Adam Ibrahim, Fareesha Abdulla and Misbaah Abbas, as members of the commission.

The commission is granted all powers of an investigative authority.
