Maldives and China have signed an exchange of letters on the Renovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building complex. The exchange of letters were signed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel and Ambassador of China to Maldives Zhang Lizhong, on behalf of their respective governments.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of State Ahmed Khaleel noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building is, and will always remain, a symbol of the close friendly relationship between the Maldives and China.
The foreign ministry hopes to find a solution to its space shortage and be better able to serve the people upon completion of the renovation.
