Domestic airfare cut down by 25-30%

National airline operating company, Island Aviation Services Limited has announced new domestic airfare rates. Domestic airfare rates have been cut down by 25% to 30%, according to Island Aviation.

Following the changes, a round trip from VIA to Hanimaadhoo will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Ifuru will cost between USD 97.11 and USD 133.11, VIA to Dharavandhoo will cost between USD 71.09 and USD 101.13, VIA to Kudahuvadhoo will cost between USD 71.09 and USD 101.13, VIA to Thimarafushi will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Kadhdhoo will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Kooddoo will cost between USD 106.95 and USD 158.10, VIA to Kaadedhoo will cost between USD 106.95 and USD 158.10, VIA to Fuvahmulah will cost between USD 109.93 and USD 168.20 and VIA to Addu will cost between USD 109.93 and USD 172.60.

Island Aviation revealed the price changes were made after discussions with the government and the new rates will be effective from January 10.

It is an electoral pledge of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to reduce domestic airfare in Maldives.
