Maldives Third-Way Democrats (MTD) has revealed former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor was transferred back to prison in reference to an invalid document.
Speaking to media, Vice President of MTD Yameen Rasheed said Adeeb was transferred back to prison in reference to an old letter, adding the last letter advises the authorities to keep Adeeb in a homely environment for 6-8 weeks. Yameen stated the doctors also said Adeeb needs medical treatment while at home during the aforementioned period.
MTD noted Adeeb's health was inferior when he was admitted at ICU. He was taken to hospital and is under medical treatment after his health worsened when he was taken back to prison on January 2. MTD expressed the concerns regarding Adeeb's health have been forwarded to Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).
