President’s Office opens for submission of information regarding past corruption cases

The President’s Office has opened for submission of information regarding cases of corruption and abuse of power within State institutions, from January 1, 2012 to November 17, 2018.

The President’s Office has announced that such cases must be reported via written submission, to the Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery before 1400 hours on February 24, 2019. Submissions are to be addressed to the Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery and delivered to the commission’s office at Ghazi Building, or emailed to [email protected]. The commission will introduce a web portal next week, where anonymous submissions can be made, according to an announcement published on the government gazette.

In keeping with his electoral pledge of eliminating corruption from the state, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih established Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery on his first day in office, November 17, 2018.
