Speaker of Parliament Qasim Ibrahim has met with Ambassador of Maldives to India Aishath Mohamed Didi.
During the meeting held at the parliament secretariat, the speaker congratulated the ambassador on her appointment and discussed on ways to further strengthen ties between India and Maldives. Moreover, discussions were also focused on the financial and technical assistance provided by the government of India to the parliament of Maldives.
The speaker also updated the ambassador on the parliamentary elections scheduled to be held on April 6.
