US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs Randall Schriver has arrived in Maldives on an official visit. He was received by Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal and senior officers of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) upon his arrival to Velana International Airport (VIA).
During the visit, Randall Schriver will meet and hold talks with Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi and Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal.
Randall Schriver was appointed as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs on January 8, 2018. He formerly served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia.
