Ministry of Finance has showed the expenses of the administration in the first 5 days of 2019 amounted to just USD 260.
The weekly financial report published showed Ministry of Home Affairs spent USD 168.33, which is the highest amount spent by any government office. The second highest amount was USD 157.39, spent by Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, Tax Appeal Tribunal spent just USD 6.15 and Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) spent USD 4.86.
The state provides funds for 52 government institutions from the state budget. The parliament passed USD 2 billion as the state budget for 2019.
