DJA claims courts of law and judges have public trust

Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has claimed the courts of law and the judges have the trust of the public. In the wake of severe criticism against the judiciary, DJA told a press conference it will solve any issues in the judiciary.

Speaking to the press, Secretary General of Supreme Court Dr. Hussain Faiz highlighted DJA would not hesitate to take action against a judicial staff or a judge, if they are found violating the judicial regulations or procedures. The newly appointed secretary general said the issues in the judiciary must be solved within the judiciary.

Speaking in the press conference, Judicial Administrator Dr. Abdulla Nazeer noted there are no institution in any country that would function without any issues, highlighting doubts would always be cast by some people in the community.

Meanwhile, answering a question, Chancellor of Judicial Academy Ahmed Majid revealed it was not an issue if the courts ruled differently on similar cases as there would be differences in reference between the rulings of lower courts and superior courts.
