Vice Chancellor of Maldives National University (MNU) Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef has revealed the institution is preparing to introduce three new PhD programmes this year.
Speaking to PSM News, Vice Chancellor Ali Fawaz stated MNU has decided to introduce PhD programmes in health and shair'ah. The vice chancellor expressed while health and shari'ah programmes are set to begin this year, discussions are underway to decide the third area.
The first ever PhD certificates from a Maldivian university was attained by two students last year. The current Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali is one of the students who were awarded the PhD certificate from MNU.
