Minister of Communication, Science and Technology (MCST) Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal has visited and monitored local telecommunication providers. Minister Maleeh visited Dhiraagu and Ooredoo as part of the efforts to monitor the relevant authorities under the ministry.
In this regard, on January 7, the minister met with management of Dhiraagu and inquired about the services provided by the state-owned company. The meeting was attended by CEO of Dhiraagu Ismail Rasheed, state ministers from MCST and senior officials of Dhiraagu.
Moreover, on January 13, the minister met with senior officials of Ooredoo and inquired about the services provided by the Qatari-owned company. The meeting was attended by CEO of Ooredoo Najib Khan, state ministers from MCST and senior officials of Ooredoo.
During the meetings, both Ooredoo and Dhiraagu disseminated information about the ongoing projects and initiations for the future.
